EP Review: V. Rose - Wilder Wwonderland

Christian R&B songstress V. Rose releases her new EP "Wilder Wonderland" right on time for the Holidays.

One of my favorite Christian Artist- Vocalist, let's get into it.

Track #1) Luke Four Four

An acoustic guitar-synth rnb led intro mellows through as a remainder that people do not live/survive on just what they eat, but from everything that is said in God's Word.

It is really short, but V. Rose is amazing and the cadence is superb.

Track #2) Free Holiday

"Free Holiday" musically crosses paths with a Bryson Tiller-Summer Walker vibe sonically, especially considering the way the sample is interpolated. The song speaks on getting freedom from spending time with Jesus Christ on the Holidays. Brandon Love makes an awesome addition and adds to the record instead of distracting form the message.

Track #3) Tells Me So

Lyrically, so relatable. "Tells Me So" is about the devil coming to kill, steal and destroy and believing in Jesus and having faith in spite of the trouble you are going through.

I enjoy it lyrically, and it's quite encouraging, but compared to the sonic opulence of the previous track, it steps down a peg musically. But V sounds great and overall I like the song.

Track #4) Just Wondering

V. Rose speaks her peace regarding having to wait and trying to stay afloat in her journey of faith. But still wondering what is happening in her life and how long she'll have to wait.

Honestly, I wholeheartedly understand this one. Sometimes it seems like you've been waiting on God forever, dope song.

Track #5) Didn't Know What To Believe

So sonically this project gives me female Bryson Tiller vibes and I enjoy it. This track especially lives up to the title and the whole EP does. But this song is probably one of my favorites, it takes a stab at a time in which your faith is fleeting and that God didn't let go even when she ran the other way.

Love the trap&B appeal of this one. Najee Daniels kills his part and this makes for an awesome Collab.

Wilder Wonderland is an EP that tells the story of struggling yet holding onto your faith in spite of hard times and waiting a season of life out. It is an impeccably put together project and it's a definite must listen during these times and holidays we're living through.
