New Music :FOEVA - Keep Climbing

Christian Hip-Hop/R&B artist FOEVA just released his brand new project "Late Nights" on October 19th. A track from the project titled "Keep Climbing" came across my attention.
My sentiments below.
Having come across the track on playlisting site Submithub, I was able to pull my thoughts together.
Initially my thoughts were as follows : Lyrically I definitely relate and can appreciate it. I love the message. Musically, I like it, but I don't love it. Some of the rap is very simple and perhaps slightly choppy when it feels like he could emphasize a bit more. I like the tune but also feel like he could cut back a little on it and show his real voice a bit more.
As I listened to the track this morning, however I realized it's a bit of a grower. I began to appreciate the pockets and background vocals on the track. The beat is banging and the transitions in this songs flow seem effortless at times. I do still think that FOEVA would benefit to showcase his voice unprocessed a bit more , but overall I do like the vibe.
