On first play, I knew this song sampled something and I kept thinking "Does this sample Avant's song "Read Your Mind?" Turns out I was right! (LOL) Well, just as that song happens to be one of my R&B guilty pleasures, this may just become a staple in one of my R&B playlist. I gotta give Jeremih his things. The Hitmaka produced track is a bop and in a world full of fuckboy anthems, I respect that he decided to make and cultivate something more vulnerable as one of the younger R&B gents. First Coco and now this, Could R&B be having a sentimental renaissance from it's overflow of vulgarity and raunchiness? Don't get me wrong, everything has it place, but I do feel as though there is a balance that needs to be established (especially in this genre) again.
SUpport "Changes":
But what do you think? Is R&B finally going back to basics?
